Creative focused on developing work that strikes the balance between concept and aesthetic.
Although this statement is still true I feel like my work has developed more outside of graphic design, with the use of creative not really defining or establishing this. I fell my work is more multidisciplinary as I'm looking to explore set design and production design alongside the skills I've established in branding, packaging and editorial design. The focus on research and concept-driven outcomes is still relevant as this is a consistent approach within my practice, regardless of the specialism as I find this is an effective way of working. This approach allows me to gain more knowledge about a topic from which I can develop more thought out and relevant ideas. Therefore the first section of my initial statement is still true however this needs to be applied to different disciplines.
New:
Creative focused on developing work that strikes the balance between concept and aesthetic across multiple disciplines.
Although this is a slight change I feel it better reflects my practice as I don't want to discount traditional graphic design but it also isn't the focus of my practice anymore.
