I was recently asked to speak to level 5 graphic design about how to enter competitions and how to tackle submission boards due to my success in the Starpack Student Design Awards last year. When presenting my main focus was to keep the writing within the design boards short and to only include what is relevant to the final outcome as the judges don't want to be reading paragraphs of information. Another key point was to analyse the brief and use this as a template for what to cover within submission boards so you hit each section of the brief clearly. Overall this presentation went well however I feel I could have spoken a little slower, as I was a bit nervous. I need to take more break and remember to slow down throughout my presentations.
