In this session we discussed initial ideas for personal branding by creating a name and tag line based on both our design work and personalities as a whole. Initially I kept with my name and thought of a basic description playing of my last name 'lets have a ball of a time' (see figure 1). However I felt this didn't accuratly reflect me as a whole. Consequently after looking at other peoples ideas I decided to create a more interesting but simple tag line and and description as these where the most successful within other peoples work (see figure 2).

In order to create a more creative and intersting name and payoff I first looked at what I want to represent to businesses and what particularly represents me as a designer. Consequently I decided to still play one my last name by drawn on my organisational skills and personal pet peeve of unaligned visuals to create the Cubed Ball. The use of cubed counteracts the usual assumptions that balls are quite random and busy whereas I've very organised and my work is well thought out rather that random. This then led on the the creation of the description which briefly outlines how I work and what I'm like as a person.
Name:
The Cubed Ball
Payoff:
Not all balls are random
Description:
Graphic Designer using grids and meticulous measurements to create perfectly aligned designs.
