Patternity

Patternity (see figures 1-2) is a blog featuring a variety of different patterns found across multiple disciplines such as fashion, photography, architecture and design. I found this blog particularly interesting when developing my personal branding based around symmetry and aligned objects/designs as some of the patterns featured on this blog follow these characteristics. The blog focuses on the simplicity of pattern and form which has inspired the development of the surface graphics within my personal branding (see figure 3-4) in order to create a consistent brand that can be easily recognised as each pattern has been developed from different sections of the logo. I've also been inspired due to the variety of patterns and there different origins which have been captured through the use of photography as well as the different interactions between nature, architecture and design.
